Depression is projected to affect more than 300 million people worldwide. This number includes the 6.7% of adult Americans who suffer from this increasingly common disorder. Researchers from the Black Dog Institute found a cheap and easy way to prevent depression. According to them, around 12% of depression cases could have been prevented with just one hour of exercise per week. The research also suggests that exercise does not need to be particularly intense in order to garner the benefits.
